I consider my work to be an exploration of available media that focuses on the connection a viewer makes with a piece that is clearly made by the hands of another human being.
My subject matter is inspired by my vivid and often frightening dreams, people and animals whom I have known and loved, and visual misinterpretations.
The result is usually a surreal and unsettling landscape of foreign entities; flying dogs, upright animals with humanistic facial features, bunnies that dress up like children, and images of people who have abandoned their bodies for more expressive vessels.
My ultimate goal is to simultaneously seduce and repel, drawing the viewer in with the beautiful images and stunting them with an unexpected intimacy.
